Dice Attack!

Summary

Dice Attack! is a game played over several turns where players roll dice to score points. The game ends after a player scores 150 or more. Whoever has the most points wins.

Setup

Place the launch zone on a table without other obstructions on the table top. Assemble game board #1 from the parts provided as shown here:

Place game board #1 on the table. Game board #1 should be one foot in front of the launch zone in the orientation shown above.

Each player then chooses a color and takes 3 twelve-sided die of that color.

Player Order

The player order will change each round and goes in the order of who has the most points. The first player of any round is the player with the most points, the second has the second most points, and the third has the least.

If two players are tied (or it is the first round of the game), players will roll off to determine the order. This roll-off does not count towards the players' score.

Game Rounds
Make sure the game board is lying flat on the table before starting the round.

Players start every round with all 3 of their dice and will roll dice across the table in attempts to land on the point zones. Players must roll the dice across (or flicked from) the launch zone towards the point zones. No dropping/throwing the dice directly onto the point zones or rolling from other directions.

Players take turns rolling one die each (in player order) until everyone has rolled all three dice.

If your die does not end on a point zone after a roll, you get to reroll it (once per die).

Scoring

After all dice are rolled for a turn, players will tally their score. The value shown on the die is multiplied by the zone modifier it is on. Landing on the launch zone or other table space results in zero points for that particular roll.

Example: a die in a x2 modifier zone and a facing of 11, would provide 22 points.

Dice that are on top of more than one zone, only count the highest modifier. The die must actually sit on top of both zones to claim the higher multiplier, merely touching a zone is not enough. Players then add up their points from all the rounds into their new total score.

Remember, dice receive no points if they did not touch the launch zone before touching the board.

See Zone Details for more information on zones.

Game End

If one or more players has reached 150 points (or greater) after calculating scoring, the game will end. The player with the highest score wins. If no player has yet reached 150, the game will have an additional round.

If two or more players are tied, these players will play an additional round to determine who is the victor. If still tied, the game is declared a tie.

Additional Rounds

If the game is not ended by a player reaching 150 (or more points), each player retrieves their dice and prepares for another round of rolling.

If any player has more than 50 points total, the current game board is replaced by board game #2. If any player has more than 100 points, replace the current game board with game board #3. See Additional Assembly for setup and orientation of game boards #2 and #3.
